Privacy Policy

Hesperia Residents Directory is a small reference service. It points readers toward public records, libraries, courts, and state portals, but it does not maintain a government resident roll or require an account. This policy explains the limited information handled by the site, the role of third-party search providers, and the difference between a private website request and a request to a California custodian.

Information You Send

If you use a name, phone, or address search box, the submitted details go to the third-party provider that operates the result service. Hesperia Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. A message sent to the operator contains whatever the sender chooses to include and is used to answer or route that message.

Technical Information

The hosting service may record routine connection data such as an IP address, browser type, viewed page, and time. Aggregate review helps keep the pages available and shows which references are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where present, advertising measurement. No account profile is created from these logs.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to operate the pages, resolve technical faults, measure broad traffic, and improve the reference. The operator does not sell a visitor list or build an individual dossier from ordinary site use. A third-party search provider may apply its own data practices to a submitted query.

External Links

The pages link to Hesperia, San Bernardino County, California, federal court, library, archive, USPS, and other services. Once a reader follows a link, that office or provider's policy controls information submitted there. The same applies to sponsored result boxes, which are supplied by a separate company.

Who Receives Data

Hosting and support providers may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical information described above if those tools are active. Information may be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. The site does not otherwise distribute a visitor's message or search terms from its own systems.

Security and Retention

The service uses an encrypted connection, and technical logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here. There is no site account, password, or personal profile for an ordinary visitor to expose. No retention period can be promised for a third-party provider's systems, so read that provider's policy before submitting information.

People Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operator does not knowingly request personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent a message, a parent or guardian may use the contact route to request that the operator remove the message and related local records.

California Privacy Choices

California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives eligible residents rights that can include knowing, deleting, correcting, limiting certain uses of sensitive information, and opting out of sale or sharing, subject to exceptions. The California Privacy Protection Agency consumer guidance explains those rights. Because Hesperia Residents Directory keeps very little, a request normally involves searching the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page for a site request.

Public records held by the State of California, San Bernardino County, the City of Hesperia, courts, libraries, or another custodian are outside this service's control. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, does not make a private reference the custodian of those records. Requests about a deed, assessor entry, voter record, court file, vital certificate, or City record must go to the office that holds it.

Policy Changes

A revised version will appear on this page when the policy changes. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated text to the extent permitted by law.
