1. What This Reference Is
Hesperia Residents Directory is a privately operated reference about public rolls, record indexes, library collections, court portals, and historical directories connected to Hesperia and California. It stores no government record and has no affiliation with Hesperia City Hall, San Bernardino County, any California agency, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Rules for Lawful Use
Use the pages only for lawful, respectful purposes. You may not use the service or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm another person.
- Locate someone who is protected by a restraining or protective order.
- Commit fraud, identity theft, impersonation, or another unlawful act.
- Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, insurance, or other covered decisions.
- Scrape, republish, or copy the pages at scale.
- Disrupt the service, defeat security, or interfere with its operation.
3. No Consumer Reports
The service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. Nothing on these pages, and nothing returned by a linked search provider, is a consumer report. None of it may be used to judge a person's eligibility for credit, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.
4. Linked Services
Government offices, courts, libraries, archives, USPS, and sponsored tools maintain their own terms and privacy practices. Hesperia Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, prices, forms, security, or data handling. A reader who follows an outbound link deals with that provider directly.
5. Information Without Warranty
The service is supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No promise is made that a page, link, portal, fee, coverage statement, or record description is accurate, complete, current, or continuously available. Confirm an important fact with the responsible custodian before relying on it.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from use of the pages or a linked resource. This includes a decision or action based on information found through the reference.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and costs, including reasonable attorney fees, that result from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
8. Copyright and Permission
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed passage is welcome. Reproducing a full page or systematically copying the reference is not permitted without written permission.
9. Revisions
These terms may change when a new version is posted here. Continuing to use the service after a revision means that you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
10. Access Restrictions
The operator may block, limit, or end access for a person who abuses the service, violates these terms, threatens others, or interferes with security. The operator may take that step without advance notice.
11. Governing Law
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, governs requests to California public agencies, not this private reference. California privacy rights and exceptions are addressed in the Consumer Privacy Act and related regulations, including guidance from the California Privacy Protection Agency.
12. Severability
If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
13. Questions
Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a county, City, court, library, or state record should go to that custodian instead.
